The Devereaux Saga: Historical SweetRomance

For generations, the Devereaux family of St. James Parish, Louisiana were prosperous sugar cane merchants with a beautiful plantation home before the war between the states. The Saga follows various family members through the war and beyond when the privileged lives they were accustomed to - which were built upon slavery - collapse and they are forced to start over in the Reconstruction Era with little besides their familial ties to sustain them.
